Charlie Palmer
Charlie set up Incremental with an ambition to embrace the evolving world of architecture and urban design in an open and collaborative process. His research has established the methodology that characterises the studios’s work today. His contribution extends beyond architecture, design and urbanism and includes writing, speaking and teaching.
He studied at Oxford Brookes, Sheffield University and the University of Bath. He won the 9th RIBA Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship, for which he researched design for cycling in developing countries around the world. Charlie teaches and lectures in the UK and internationally. He also holds a lectureship at Oxford Brookes University.
Before setting up Incremental, Charlie worked on urban regeneration, housing, education, infrastructure and meanwhile use projects at Norman Foster Foundation, Hawkins Brown Architects, S333 Architecture + Urbanism.
In his spare time he writes, draws and makes. He is an associate at Architecture Sans Frontières UK, member of the Construction Industry Cycling Commission and RIBA Education Development Group.
